In our culture, having desires or expectations is usually considered in negative ways. And that may be true to a large extent because fulfilling our desires requires patience, hard-work and right opportunities.

But at the same time if you focus on self-desires, that could be a motivational factor to bring happiness in your life.

Self-desires opens channels of opportunities

When you have a desire for something that is authentic for your personal identity, you start to set concert goals for your life. These goals could be associated with your family, health, career, money management or social life.

Once you set goals, your mind automatically starts to search for resources that can help to accomplish your desires. You start to search for platforms, meet a right kind of people or get inspired by people who are already doing that kind of work.

In simple word, you open channels of opportunities that can bring you closer to your desires. And when you take benefits of these opportunities, it’s easy for you to stay in workflow and maintain motivation for your work too.

And what else you needed to fulfill your dream once you are motivated for your work ?

Yes, there are two more things to keep this motivation always alive. First one is the act of writing down your goals and second is the practice of gratitude.

Scientifically, it is a proven fact that writing down your goals helps to achieve them more effortlessly. Once you write down your desires on a piece of paper or laptop screen and daily keep a watch on them, your mind can see more opportunities related to your goal completion.

Therefore, the habit of writing down goals or making to-do list is always considered as productive.

This is followed by the practice of gratitude journaling.

When you start to say “thank you” for people, places, opportunities or events related to your desire, your mind automatically start to appreciate the goodness associated with your work. With gratitude practice, you will start to feel more motivated, being in workflow and more productive.

In essence,  have a self-desire. Write down your goals or passion. Start to explore resources and showcase your work on available platforms. Appreciate all people, places, events and opportunities that could help you move further in life.

And once you are in workflow and moving forward, you feel productive and happy which is the key for your emotional wellness too.
