Happiness is a universal pursuit, often sought in achievement and fulfilment.

However, happiness isn’t a constant phenomenon. And there are days when you feel sad or deeply dissatisfied.

Still there are a bunch of people who always look smiling no matter what.

Yes, I agree that on many occasions we come across with people who always look in a mood or always have been smiling face. And then we start to wonder, how can these people stay so happy all the time?

But look, if someone is always happy or have smiling face doesn’t mean he/she has picture perfect life. It also doesn’t mean that he/she is careless or least bothering. These people also have their own problems, concerns and worries.

Then the question is why they are always in a mood or always smiling?

Genes matter

Some people are naturally predisposed to experience more positive emotions due to their genetic makeup, which can influence their overall mood.

Yes, they are hard-wired that way. And their natural disposition can manifest on their facial expression. They can find the joy in just about anything.

If they are naturally resilient, they can cope better with stress and adversity. This resilience can help maintain a positive emotional state even during a challenging time.

Perception to look at life

The one thing that makes these people different from others is the way to look at the life.

Let’s make it more clear with some real life examples.

For some people, handling children means a daunting task to do. They find spending time with children as cumbersome, nagging or just a waste of time. But there are other people too who enjoy playing with children and interested to explore the world from children’s perspective.

For some people, cooking is tedious work. It is a repetitive, boring and messy task. But other find it interesting. For them, cooking delicious recipes for family and friends brings a sense of achievement and happiness.

For some people, office work is just a way to receive a paycheck at the end of the month to take care of finances. But for others, it is a way to explore a passion, learn something new and build healthy relationships. Being exuberant about learning new skills keep them motivating.

For some people, going outside or attending parties is an unnecessary task. But for others it is a way to stay socially connected, to get known more about people and to explore a world. It’s a common notion, a happy person makes a great company. This habit keeps their vibe alive and help to foster deep relationships with family and friends.

Some people are never satisfied with their lives and always expect more. No matter how wealthy they are, they always run behind money and status. On the contrary, there are people who are contented with what they have. They have decided to look beyond the imperfections. They celebrate small gains and enjoy the progress in any part of life. These are the people who wake up for yet another day with the same amount of enthusiasm.

Some people may not be satisfied with the way they look. They always feel inferior about their body type and  struggle to fix them at whatever cost. However, there are people who accept their body flaws and work on them with best possible solutions. Still they don’t expect perfect results and embrace themselves with grace and dignity. They don’t desire for perfect body, just one that perfect to live healthy life.

Yes, how you look at the situation matters most. For happy people, everyday is a new chapter. They live in the now, and in doing so, get the most out of every moment. They grab every new opportunity coming on their way that is worth exploring. When you are assertive about the situation, happiness is inevitable.

Your positive outlook on life, strong social connections and good coping mechanisms help you to focus on good aspects of situation even when facing challenges.

Moreover, when you have little expectations, you always act as a giver rather than seeker.

You see, it all depends on the way you look at the life. When you have an optimistic approach, you have hopes. These hopes act as a motivating factor to look for better things that gives a sense of joy and happiness.

However, it’s important to remember that everyone experiences a range of emotions. You are susceptible to feel down every now and again. Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. In fact, there is no such thing as “always happy”. While someone might appear happier on the surface may be experiencing inner struggle that aren’t visible to others. They may be pretending just because of social pressure. So, what might seem like “always happy” not always genuine.
